Three of Ipswich Town's opening five Championship games in 2025/26 will be televised.

It had already been announced that the Blues' opening trip to newly-promoted Birmingham City will be shown live by Sky Sports on Friday, August 8 (8pm ko).

The broadcaster has now revealed its selections up until the end of September, with Town's early home clashes with Southampton and Sheffield United both picked.

Ipswich will now host fellow newly-relegated side Southampton on Sunday, August 16 (12pm ko) and will welcome Sheffield United, who lost in May's Play Off Final, on Friday, September 12 (8pm).

The Blues' Carabao Cup first round tie at League Two side Bromley, on Tuesday, August 12, will also be shown by Sky (8pm).

This is the second season of a five-year domestic broadcast deal between the EFL and Sky Sports, with more than 1,000 games set to be shown live in 2025/26.

Sky have committed to giving fans more notice about TV selections this season.

July 31 is the date that selections will be announced in respect of matches to be played up until the FA Cup third round weekend (Jan 10). November 7 is when we will learn what games have been picked for TV up until the last weekend in February.

Ipswich had 20 of their 46 league games shown by Sky during their 2023/24 promotion season (W10 D6 L4).
