Galatasaray and Rangers are among the clubs credited with an interest in Ramsdale, who is Southampton's top earner on wages in excess of £100,000-a-week.

Jason Cundy calls for Chelsea to sign Aaron Ramsdale to solve their goalkeeping 'disaster!'

Ramsdale wants to be playing at the highest level possible to ensure he is named in England's World Cup squad.

A departure would leave returning loanee Gavin Bazunu and veteran Alex McCarthy as the only goalkeeping options available to new boss Will Still.

The former Lens manager penned a three-year contract on the south coast after leaving the French side at the end of the season.

Ramsdale joined the Saints from Arsenal last summer in a move worth an initial £18million.

The 27-year-old also penned a four-year deal at St. Mary's through to the end of the 2027/28 season.

However, the club's relegation last season looks set to see him move on.

The Saints finished bottom of the Premier League as they failed to avoid an immediate return to the Championship.

Despite avoiding Derby's record lowest points tally, the club did record the earliest relegation in Premier League history after 31 matches.

It is the third time Ramsdale has been relegated from the Premier League in his career.

He was previously part of the Bournemouth and Sheffield United squads which failed to survive in 2020 and 2021, respectively.

Ramsdale made 30 league appearances for Southampton during the campaign following his arrival from the Gunners.

Across those matches, he kept three clean sheets and conceded 66 goals.

A move could see Ramsdale return to the England squad ahead of next year's World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the USA.

He has yet to be included by new Three Lions boss Thomas Tuchel for their first three qualifiers.

Meanwhile, Ramsdale has not been called up at all since last summer's Euros.

Since making his debut in 2021, the stopper has won just five caps having been unable to dislodge Jordan Pickford as number one.
