Ipswich Town offer new contracts to Cameron Burgess and Axel Tuanzebe while Massimo Luongo and Marcus Harness both leave the club

Ipswich Town have confirmed that contract talks are ongoing with Cameron Burgess and Axel Tuanzebe.

As it stands, the defensive duo will both leave Portman Road when their current contracts expire at the end of next month.

However, the club has now confirmed that fresh terms have been offered to the two players, with negotiations currently taking place.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that two further squad members will move on as free agents. As already communicated, midfielder Massimo Luongo is moving on along with Marcus Harness, who made one Premier League appearance last season before spending the remainder of the campaign on loan with Derby County.

Loanees Jens Cajuste (Napoli), Julio Enciso (Brighton & Hove Albion), Ben Godfrey (Atalanta) and Kalvin Phillips (Manchester City) will all return to their respective parent clubs, while Baggott – along with Ali Al-Hamadi (Stoke City), Harry Clarke (Sheffield United) and Cameron Humphreys (Wycombe Wanderers) – are all back with Ipswich after loans elsewhere.

Players under contract at Ipswich: Ali Al-Hamadi, Elkan Baggott, Nathan Broadhead, Wes Burns, Conor Chaplin, Harry Clarke, Jack Clarke, Leif Davis, Liam Delap, Jacob Greaves, George Hirst, Cameron Humphreys, Omari Hutchinson, Ben Johnson, Sam Morsy, Aro Muric, Chiedozie Ogbene, Dara O’Shea, Alex Palmer, Jaden Philogene, Cieran Slicker, Sam Szmodics, Jack Taylor, Conor Townsend, Christian Walton, Luke Woolfenden.
