'Clichy was a nightmare to play against'

Gael Clichy and Walker both played for Manchester City but were opponents when Walker was at Tottenham
One question came from Walker's former England team-mate Ashley Cole. He asked, apart from Cole himself, who is the toughest left-back he has faced in his career?
Gael Clichy.
It was him and [Samir] Nasri on the left-hand side. It was very tough.
Gael was a nightmare because he overlapped continuously. He had a great engine on him, could get forward and put in a very, very dangerous cross.
I also didn't like to play against [Aleksandar] Kolarov at Manchester City, while former Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra was right up there.

'I got the Messi-Neymar-Mbappe hat-trick'

Walker won the Champions League with Manchester City in 2023
Walker's career began at Sheffield United and has taken him to Tottenham, Manchester City and Aston Villa among others. He was asked which is his favourite shirt he has managed to swap with an opposition player.
I have Ash's [Ashley Cole] shirt in my house. It is in a frame. He was one I wanted to collect.
I don't own an Arsenal shirt. I have never swapped with a derby rival on a game day - I think it shows a bit of respect for the fans.
[Robert] Pires, I got an Aston Villa one when we played there and he signed one personally to me. Being a World Cup winner, it was something I had to ask for.
Fernando Torres at Chelsea, as much as it is probably not an iconic shirt - which it would have been from him at Liverpool - for the fee he went for, the drama in the the transfer situation, to get that shirt was a good one for me.
I was fortunate enough to play against Paris St-Germain a number of times when the famous three were playing - Neymar, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe. I got all three on different occasions. I got the hat-trick.
'We are weighed every day'

Walker has played 12 times for Milan since joining in January
Walker moved to AC Milan on loan in January after falling out of favour under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. He lives in a hotel in the city and, despite speaking about the difficulties of missing his family back home, highlighted some of the positives of living in Italy.
You have to be disciplined. The food out here is amazing. The flavours... a piece of bread tastes good.
The food at the training ground is incredible - I bring it back to the hotel, I am not getting room service. They did a pesto pasta today. The tomatoes are even nice here.
We get weighed every day. Your weight can't change in a day. Even if you go out and have a big pizza or steak, it is not going to be drastically high so they ask 'what have you been doing?'.
If you have two or three days off you have to be a little careful because the manager is very keen on keeping the lads' weight down.
That is the way football is going. Every small detail matters.
