Arsenal's potential first Premier League title in 20 years has led to Jason Cundy temporarily joining forces with Tottenham fan Jamie O'Hara.

The Gunners sit one point clear of Manchester City at the top of the table heading into Sunday's north London derby.

With just four games left in the top-flight, Mikel Arteta's men are edging closer to the title - something that would be insufferable for The Sports Bar hosts.

Cundy and O'Hara have stressed they couldn't have Arsenal winning the league due to their allegiances to Chelsea and Spurs respectively.

Claiming he couldn't deal with joyous Arsenal supporters, Cundy said: "I'm a Chelsea fan, we can't have Arsenal winning the title - it simply cannot happen to The Sports Bar.

"It'll kill us! There's enough Gooners in the office, everywhere there's Gooners, we can't have it.

"My boys failed miserably [5-0 defeat at the Emirates], now all of a sudden, SOS - save our Sports Bar! Over to Spurs."

Cundy, who also despises Tottenham - despite featuring 28 times for them during the 1990s - due to them being the Blues' biggest rivals, was asked whether he will be cheering them on in the north London derby.

Insisting he could 'never' cheer for Spurs, he conceded he would be celebrating any goals against Arteta's side 'for The Sports Bar'.

O'Hara then was able to convince Cundy to be a Spurs supporter just for one game for all the brief times he graced the White Hart Lane pitch.

Cundy then said: "It's all about - nothing to do with Spurs - it's just another team that can take points off them.

"And because it's a north London derby, it's all about The Sports Bar.

Emmanuel Petit explains why Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice is Player of the Season over Chelsea's Cole Palmer and Manchester City's Phil Foden

"If Spurs win, I'll give a little mini fist pump. But it ain't because of Spurs!

"It's because of Arsenal dropping points. It's just like a [does mini pump], 'Yeah they've dropped points.'"

Told by O'Hara to just accept being a Spurs fan for the weekend, Cundy stated: "There's going to be part of me praying for The Sports Bar. SOS."

While Cundy and O'Hara are desperate for Arsenal's 20-year wait for a title to continue, Gunners hero Emmanuel Petit is confident they can finally go all the way.

That's despite City having the advantage of a game in hand over Arsenal, where victory would see them go two points clear.

Petit, who won the Premier League and FA Cup double at Highbury in 1998, featured on talkSPORT Drive to discuss the title race.

Discussing his former employer's chances, the Frenchman said: "At the beginning of the season, I think City were ahead of Arsenal.

"But I think that might change this season, obviously they don't have their destiny in their hands because City have games in hand and get a two-point lead.

"But I still haven't seen the best of City this season, especially in defence, I think they look more vulnerable.

"And this is why Arsenal - the way they reacted scoring five goals against Chelsea - they know how important the game is on Sunday against Tottenham.

"But I'm very confident, I still believe that Arsenal is going to win the Premier League."
