Many players who wear the colours of Leeds united domestically have this week been on International duty with their respective countries with contrasting fortunes, but one man in particular has impressed with his display.
Mateusz Klich played an hour as Poland beat Latvia 3-0 away from home, Gjianni Alioski played the full ninety minutes as North Macedonia beat Slovenia at home and perhaps most surprisingly of all, Stuart Dallas was the player who impressed the most with Northern Ireland, even though they ran out 3-1 losers away to the Netherlands.
Starting on the right wing in a tight affair, there was no score after seventy five minutes, Dallas put in a fantastic display which is now becoming customary as he finds his place in Marcelo Bielsa’s starting eleven more and more secure due to his club form this season.
Northern Ireland eventually broke the deadlock in the game, with a marauding run down the right from Dallas ended in the winger sending in a cross that was met by striker Josh Magennis who headed home to make it 0-1… and the travelling green army very much appreciated it.

Eventually, through three late Dutch goals, Northern Ireland ended up losing the tie 3-1 and find their qualification for next years European Championships a little less comfortable than it was before the game.
When Leeds United Tweeted out their appreciation for Dallas’ performance, the fans followed suit, letting the 28-year-old know their thoughts on his progression under Marcelo Bielsa.
