Neil Harris looks ahead to a “massive weekend” for Millwall

MILLWALL face a season defining period over the traditional Easter Weekend. The Lions face Brentford at The Den on Good Friday. They then head to Villa Park to face Aston Villa on Easter Monday.

Speaking ahead of Friday’s London Derby Harris said to the clubs official website. “It’s massive weekend for us,”

“What a weekend it really is for our fans. We’re playing at a level we want to be at as a club. Of course without taking it for granted and I think what supporters and everyone within football has seen this year is how good this division is.

Harris believes the Championship is currently the best it’s ever been while he has been involved in football. “The Championship is the best it has ever, ever been in my 20 years in the game at professional level. It’s a privilege to be in it. We have to stay in it.

Brentford visit The Den on Good Friday and Harris has been evaluating them. “We look at Brentford a London rival, not a bigger club than us in my opinion. But they have spent money and invested heavily in the right areas of their squad. They are going to come and play total football. It will be a great game to be at The Den to see.

The Millwall manager highlighted that the atmosphere that has been created in certain games this season.  “The atmosphere that was built at Sheffield United, West Brom at home and at certain times against QPR is what we need all game, starting on this Easter weekend game here.”

Harris had one last message for the club’s fans. “Come and see the game, come to watch and support your team who may have not played well all season, but at the moment are performing really well.”
