Nottingham Forest winger confident of reaching the Play-Offs- “Keep going”

Nottingham Forest winger Matty Cash remains confident him and his teammates can reach the Championship Play-Offs this season.

The Reds are currently three points off the top six after their 1-1 draw against rock-bottom Ipswich Town on Saturday at Portman Road.

Cash, who made his return to Forest’s starting XI against the Tractor Boys, has said that the confidence and belief in Martin O’Neill’s dressing room is still there.

He has said, as per a report by Nottinghamshire Live: “We definitely think we can do it. There is still that belief in the dressing room because we know that two or three wins would get us right up there.”

“We still have to play Middlesbrough, Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday and they are all up there. There is a chance to take points off them. We are fighting for our lives; we are close – we have to keep going.”

Cash added: “We have eight games left and we will give everything we have got. We just have to keep going. We have to put this behind us, because we are still only three points off the top six and we have a massive eight games ahead of us.”

“We are still fighting; we are fighting for our lives and anything could still happen.”

There will be an element of frustration amongst the Forest camp that they couldn’t beat Ipswich, however, the race for the top six is anyone’s to win at the moment and will go down to the wire.
