Sean Dyche's side have now sealed Premier League safety as a result - or at least until the outcome of their points deduction appeal is reached, according to a now-deleted post on X from the Premier League.

Numerous Everton's players took to social media to celebrate their latest win, but one star in particular has gone viral for his - and he's accidentally left fans in stitches at it.

Taking to Instagram, Doucoure posted a photo of him clapping the fans with the caption: "Talent 10%. Mental 90%. Never give up."

Of course, the 31-year-old, who was born in France, was presumably referring to the more well-known mantra of talent not guaranteeing success and the importance of a strong mentality as an athlete.

Fans have interpreted his post slightly differently, though, and are cracking up at the midfielder's unintentional suggestion that he had 10 per cent worth of talent.

One fan joked: "Has doucoure just went 'yeah i’m s***e tbf'."

"Self awareness," another supporter said.

A third quipped: "Me at karaoke."

Doucoure has made 32 appearances this term in all competitions, netting six goals and bagging one assist in that time to help the Toffees to Premier League safety.

Speaking about his side's victory and sealing top flight survival, Everton boss Sean Dyche said: "We have not been given an easy ride, and I am super proud.

"The knocks keep coming for me as well - this job is not the way it has been pitched to me or what has happened.

"To refocus on the new job in hand, I have been pleased with that and how we handled it."
